The plan of salvation that God has given us is a simple process that He has outlined in His Word. Acceptance that Jesus Christ died for your sins is as simple as believing in your heart and confessing with your mouth that you accept Him as your Lord and Savior.
“If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9
Once you have accepted Jesus Christ into your life you have become a child of God and you need to get to know your heavenly Father. God knows all about you, but you need to know Him in a personal way. One way to do this is through prayer. Prayer is just talking with God. Start with 5 or 10 minutes each day. Make prayer a part of your daily life; for example, ask God to bless your food. Another thing you must do to get to know God is to read your Bible daily and then meditate on what you’ve read. Set aside a specific time each day to do this. Start with the New Testament; read as much as you are personally able to grasp. For some it may be one verse; or it may be one chapter, depending on the person.
Now that you are born again, it’s important for you to join a Bible-believing, Bible-teaching church. It is the Word of God that will keep you steadfast in your walk with Him. God’s Word says that faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Now that you are a “new” person in Christ, you must find like-minded Christians to associate with to maintain the commitment you just made.
Welcome to the family of God!
In a time where the lines of Christian conduct are blurred, we want the world and the church to see a clear and visible distinction in our music ministry as we lift up Jesus with our lifestyles first, and then in our music.
